CT/Cone Beam Scanner

Patients who require dental implants must first undergo a thorough scan using our CT/Cone Beam Scanner. This unique device consists of a 360-degree rotating arm that quickly snaps hundreds of photos that combine to create a single 3D model of your oral and facial structures. The finalized image allows our team to view the intricate details of your teeth, gums, bone, nerve pathways, and other small areas so that we may better plan and prepare for dental implant surgery.

Intraoral Camera

When first examining your mouth, we will use what is known as an intraoral camera. This handheld, camera-tipped device scans the mouth to capture pictures and project them onto a chairside monitor. In just seconds, you and a member of our team can easily view each area of your mouth’s interior, pinpointing the problem area(s). By seeing what it is that we see, you can better understand why treatment is necessary and how to take better care of your smile.

Digital Dental X-Rays

For decades, dentists and specialists have relied on dental X-rays to see what is happening beneath the gumline. While traditional radiographs are still used by many, our team now uses digital dental X-rays. Not only do these radiographs emit far less radiation, but they generate higher-resolution images that make it easier for our team to review and store. In just seconds, the images are projected onto the computer screen so that more precise treatment planning can be developed.
